Carson City Trip

Emily's Spring Piano Recital

Emily made really cute cupcakes. She made all the pink flowers on them!! Plus the Cherry Blossom Cake in the center of the table. Her students did a great job. There were about 50+ people there.
Emily and I put tissue paper flowers on her wall decor and it really was cute.

Here is Emily and her students.

Friday May 7 we went to Mills Park and wanted to ride the train that goes around the park, but it only runs on Sat. adn Sun. So the kids played one the toys and I wanted to get a picture of them by the water tower. I think this was a great shot of the kids.

Parker loved playing on the toys.

I freaked out when Hannah instead of sliding down the slide found a bar to swing on then went down the slide!!!!

This is a great shot of the Steam train at the Nevada State Train Museum. We rode on it.

Here se are on the train. The kids loved their tickets.

The conducter was so good with them.

Saturday we went back to Mills Park and was able to ride the train. This is the little train we rode and they let the kids get in the cab.

Then we went to the Carnival. We had fun. Some of the rides the kids were too small to go on by themselves so an adult had to go on with them. I was elected. Funny thing was on one ride I got on with Hannah and it was a bug that went up and down. When it stopped it wasn't all the way down but I was able to get Hannah off but I had a hard time getting off it, because I was so fat and got stuck between the bar and the bug!!!

I took all "3" kids to the park. Lilly really liked the swings!!

On Mothers Day Parker gave his 1st talk. He did a great job.

We were at Emily's for Mother's Day. But all of our kids treated me like royalty. Thank you for all the nice gifts.

Russ has a friend that owns a Tesla, if you have never heard of it--I never did!, it cost $100,000.00. Russ took me for a ride in it and he went from 0 to 60 in 3 seconds. I about messed my pants, and Russ enjoyed all my screams!!! After awhile I got used to it and had a blast. It only holds 2 people and doesn't have much trunk space. It was sure fun.

SNOW IN RIDGECREST!!!!!

Thursday we woke up to clouds. I went to an Old Testament class at our stake center. It was raining pretty hard when I left and the class lasted 1 1/2 hours. Well when I got out of class and headed for my car. Oh My Gosh it was Snowing really hard. I never drive in the "Snow" so I went home real slow as did the other cars on the road. Neal was out at "Home Depot" with Lilly. When he got home we went out to "Play" in the snow. We hope you enjoy our photos. As you will see I did finally pick up some snow and make a snowball. (for any of you that don't know I don't like to touch snow!! It is too cold and wet!!! That why we love the desert!! Now all around us it is covered with snow. The mountains are beautiful. We did venture out at night to our dance class. We are doing the "Jive" and love it. (We are new to the class and most people have the steps down really good. The instructor stops and "works" with us but we are really improving and we have made lots of new friends.

Remember snow doesn't last long on the desert and when we woke up the next morning the snow was gone except in the mountains
